Arc Aspicio Partners with Non-Profit to Combat Human Trafficking

Washington, DC, January 31, 2020 — Arc Aspicio recently completed pro bono support to the Amara Legal Center to develop a brand for the Virginia Coalition Against Human Trafficking and design communication materials to educate Virginia legislators on human trafficking within the state. The Amara Legal Center is a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to those who have been violated “while involved in commercial sex, whether involvement was by coercion, necessity, choice, or otherwise, in the D.C. metropolitan area”.

Amara Legal Center is ranked sixth in the country for active Federal human trafficking cases in the United States. This project helped the Amara Legal Center build effective tools and communication strategies to further their mission goals and solicit support from state and Federal stakeholders.

“We were very excited to support the Amara Legal Center as they help eradicate human trafficking in Virginia. Arc Aspicio is dedicated to the fight against human trafficking and we are happy to provide support to local non-profits who share our passion,” said Despina Panagoulias, Arc Aspicio’s Community Involvement Executive.

Arc Aspicio prioritizes social responsibility through its culture of gratitude and giving back. Each year, Arc Aspicio teams with organizations to provide pro bono support, generate awareness and fundraising, and spur community engagement.

Arc Aspicio hosted a Strategy and Innovation (SiLab) Salon event titled Innovative Ideas to Combat Human Trafficking – A Conversation. 30 professionals with experience combating human trafficking in law enforcement, victim services non-profits, academia, the private sector, and a survivor participated in the event, creating over 50 bold ideas to combat human trafficking.
