Culture Insight 4: Collaborate and Be Social

This blog is part of a 2020 blog series on our company culture.

Think back to your first day at a new company. Most likely, things were unfamiliar, and you may have felt a little overwhelmed from meeting so many new faces and entering a new work environment. At Arc Aspicio, we are proud of a culture that strives to make every employee, new or seasoned, feel welcome and included so that they are ready to collaborate and develop relationships within our company.

We are a community of collaborators that share knowledge with each other, work together to solve problems, embraces loyalty and accountability, and express gratitude to our teammates. By bringing our collective insight and experience to help our teammates, we approach problems equipped with diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives, and we learn rapidly, acquiring a wider variety of valuable and sophisticated skills and knowledge along the way.

Earlier this year, one of our project teams executed a massive cleanup of a legacy system, which could not have been possible without the ability to collaborate with one another. Throughout this project, our consultants relied on each other’s individual and collective skill sets, communicated clearly defined outcomes, exchanged ideas, and offered solutions to complete the work, enabling thousands of stakeholders in the homeland security community nationwide.

At Arc Aspicio, so many natural friendships have formed from collaborating at work, and we enjoy seeing our people be social outside of the office. By getting to know each other on a deeper level, our teams build stronger working relationships, which then empowers our people to feel more comfortable with speaking up, presenting innovative ideas, and challenging those ideas. We strive to create a safe space for innovation, which makes work so much more fun and rewarding and produces novel and actionable solutions for our clients’ challenges. Our people truly enjoy each other’s company, the social exchanges they share, and the resulting collaboration. We see this throughout a host of structured company events, such as our company All Hands Meetings, but even more so through loosely organized weekend hikes, concerts, road races, sporting events, and other activities outside of the office.

Here at Arc Aspicio, we foster an environment where we can share openly, support each other professionally and personally every day, and celebrate successes big and small. Ultimately, our collaborative environment results in our people becoming so much more than just co-workers even outside of work hours. So, whether you are attending an in-office working session or a spontaneous after-work social event, we hope that you feel like you can be yourself, explore new ideas without fear, innovate without limits, and of course, have fun.

Enhancing Homeland Security Operations with GenAI

Every month, artificial intelligence (AI) increases in both popularity and capability. AI refers to a computer’s ability to perform automated tasks in a manner that mimics human intelligence. Why Lasting Collaboration is Key for Effective AI Regulation

Why Lasting Collaboration is Key for Effective AI Regulation

With the advent of generative AI and the explosion of data privacy, bias, and other concerns, the need for effective AI regulation is becoming increasingly important.

The Federal Government and private sector already have an interest in working together to create strong regulations. The private sector’s knowledge and flexibility provides innovative solutions to the Federal Government, while rigid Federal regulations reduce the likelihood that tech companies will invest in products that could be regulated out of existence.

In today’s fast-paced world, where information overload is the norm, effective data storytelling is essential for Government agencies to interpret complex datasets and clearly communicate insights to policy makers and stakeholders. Agencies like Homeland Security are tasked with enhancing their decision-making and information capabilities to fulfill their missions, report to Congress, and engage with citizens. Building Trust in Government through Transparency and Accountability

Building trust in the Government requires transparency and accountability. In recent years, sociopolitical challenges, technological advancements, and local issues have eroded some public confidence in Government institutions.
