A Mission Optimized by Gratitude

Promoting gratitude in the workplace enhances employee morale, collegiality, and efficiency, which together combine to enhance productivity and satisfaction. So, how can an entity foster a culture of authentic gratitude?

Prioritizing gratitude is a key facet of our Strategy 2016-2018. It aligns with our objective in talent to develop people and celebrate the unique culture of our firm. To meet these objectives, Arc Aspicio has formal and informal vehicles to spur and celebrate gratitude across its workforce. These include awards, incentives, feedback in performance evaluations, and recognition on our internal social media. 

In 2016, Arc Aspicio instituted a new Gratitude Award. Each month, the Talent Team identifies an employee that shows sincere thankfulness to their client and team.

 

The efforts to celebrate gratitude work in conjunction with other deliberate goals to foster greater social cohesion and a positive culture in the workplace. A workforce bound by genuine camaraderie and collegiality has a greater capacity for successful collaborations, which strengthens the broader capabilities of the mission. In addition, when leaders demonstrate how grateful they are for employee’s contributions, employees understand the difference they can make – for their clients and with the company.

Arc Aspicio’s employees are a model for the company’s culture and ethos. Developing an environment where employees and leaders recognize each other creates an environment where helping your team is a critical element of success.

I spent the early years of my career in the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer on the E-2C Hawkeye, the Navy’s aircraft carrier-based Airborne Early Warning and Command and Control platform.
