Our Story: Our Company Invests in Our People: A 2018 Close Up

I lead our Consultants by Design 101 Peer Group and plan and facilitate a curriculum that focuses on developing our junior consultants into future leaders. Overseeing the training and development of this group has been a very rewarding experience. It gives me the opportunity to reflect on my knowledge and practice, and I enhance my own leadership skills, especially in developing people. Most importantly, it provides me with immense personal satisfaction and pride. I have enjoyed contributing to developing our extremely talented junior consultants.

At Arc Aspicio, we invest in the future of our people by providing them with the tools, resources, and support to grow into inspiring leaders. Our philosophy and approach have produced consistent results and have earned Arc Aspicio several accolades and award recognitions. Most importantly, our investment in our people makes us more than a great place to work – it also develops strong consultants who can solve client challenges.

Today’s organizations face significant challenges and increased competition in recruiting, developing, and engaging talent. As employees search for meaningful and fulfilling work, traditional benefits are no longer a differentiator among employers.

At Arc Aspicio, we set ourselves apart from our competition with the philosophy that our employees are our most valuable asset. We make significant investments in their professional growth, with an emphasis on developing future leaders. Growing leaders is an extension of our company’s vision and inspires our strong company culture by empowering our employees.

We grow future leaders by following four basic principles:

  1. Every Individual Employee is Unique: Team members are individuals, each with their own strengths, talents, interests, and aspirations. We invest in our employees’ professional growth and happiness, and we take the time to get to know them individually. We encourage open communication and ask our employees to share their personal aspirations with leadership, so we can help them reach their goals. During our quarterly performance check-ins, each team member reviews our “Profile Engagement Tool” with their supervisor and identifies areas of professional interest and personal goals

  2. It’s OK to Take Risks: We encourage our people to be innovative and to stretch themselves by providing them with multiple avenues to lead initiatives, contribute to company strategy, and to suggest new ideas. By encouraging our employees to develop skills outside their comfort zones, we empower and motivate them to take on new challenges. Our 2018 Strategy theme, “Exploration,” reflects our philosophy on risk-taking. We seek to inspire and support our employees in the quest of exploring new ideas and reaching for the stars

  3. We Showcase our Employees’ Ideas: Our people have amazing potential and we provide them with opportunities to showcase their experience, strengths, interests, and views through our company blog. At Arc Aspicio, we are passionate about our work and we promote our people’s expertise by broadcasting their ideas. Publishing our people’s original content allows them to grow their personal brand as trusted advisors who understand our clients and their challenges and can bring solutions to life for them

  4. Relationships Matter: An important trait of a leader is the way they relate to others. At Arc Aspicio, we embrace the concepts of empathy and gratitude and actively practice them in our client work and community volunteer work. We help people connect with each other through peer groups, mentoring, listening sessions, case studies, and All Hands meetings. Ready access to company executives, including the leadership team, is a daily practice
