Strategic Communications

Today’s homeland security environment is dynamic and demanding. As such, we have adopted a strategic approach to communicating with Government agencies, public and private sectors, and the media.

Our strategic communications and outreach approach allows Department of Homeland Security Components to align communication initiatives with agency goals, enhance understanding of stakeholders’ needs, expand the agency’s outreach and provide tailored messages proactively and during a crisis.  Our approach is flexible and adjusts to changing needs and priorities.

Our Communication Management Framework aligns communication initiatives with an agency’s mission and goals. The framework includes: a governance approach, outreach best practices, and methods and tools to support strategic and tactical communications. It focuses on building strong partnerships within the Government and with external stakeholders.

Our approach to communications is both strategic – carefully identifying and prioritizing stakeholder groups and needs then identifying innovative solutions and channels – and tactical – where we are hands-on in developing and executing tactical communications strategies for our clients.
